Bricks indicator TTM

Looks a little bit subjective to me. There's one point in the video where the voice says "so you're long here, and out here, and that's 20 points"... well yes, assuming you clicked the button at exactly that moment, and you managed to sell it right at the top.

Like a lot of these, I think once you've got some experience trading these markets (especially YM) you'll see that the points tallied up aren't ness. what you'll get in the real world. You could probably cut the 20 in half a lot of the time - and as he recommends using 10-point stops - well, that ain't much r/r in my book.

I'm not saying that the system can't be used as described - it probably can - but i'd place good odds that it won't yield the sort of results hindsight trading does.

Let's face it, give me or anyone on the boards a historic chart of the Dow/Spoos/Nas/any stock and we'd be able to give you a near-perfect entry and exit, or certainly tailor some kind of system be it mechanical or otherwise that will give the meat of the move - in hindsight. Doing it in real-time is something else.

EDIT : Jeeeez.... certainlyt I'd be able to come up with something pretty frickin' good for $3k a time...

some people have got no morals at all $3000 for a strategy that is available on any decent charting package,

have you worked it out yet,

it is a 3 Point Break, check for yourself ,

this is the image that would corrispond to the one on the video

thx guys for the answers... and Shogun imo you are right no morals.... however I wasn't planning on buying this system anyway because it didn't look too difficult or complicated to me.

The system isn't on my charting package (decency?????)

But I already found it on the WWW.

Hi guys,

I was listening to some interviews with the guys that run TTM recently on the Robin Dayne website, and they seem like quite genuine blokes.

The two guys in charge are John Carter and Hubert Senters. It's worth visiting the archives to listen to the interviews again:
http://www.robindayne.com/archives.htm

I suggest listening to the first one of each, as they go talk through their trading development and how they cam to be where they are. The 2nd and 3rd are details about their trading set-ups, etc.

They don't hide the fact that they treat their website and chat room is a business, and I guess it's all down to supply/demand.

I personally wouldn't pay $3,000 for all their indicators, and would rather spend time trying to learning the easylanguage programming instead, although the link in the previous thread was great - this has saved me time.

I am however considering joining their chat room, as an aid to my trading development.

Cheers, Dave.

Hi,

What is a 3 point break chart and how is it calculated? Is it different to a 3 line break chart? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

David

There is a special deal this week that you can buy all 5 TTM indicators for $991.50. After this time each indicator costs a few hundred dollars each.

If I were to purchase any it would be the squeeze indicator and the auto buy/sell, which are a few hundred dollars each.

So far my existing system works well, so I have no need.

I have attended John Carter's weninars however, and I'm very, very impressed.

I have made a mental note to to investigate further soon...

Hi, where did you find the efs file... maybe we can share some esignal efs files... I am interested in TTM and I can trade some.... [email protected]

I'd just like to add that I'm a subscriber to TTMs Live Trading Room and have found both John Carter and Hubert Senters to be exteremely helpful and genuine guys.

I also have all the TTM indicators (including bricks) set up on Tradestation. From my experience it's best to cherry pick which indicators suit your style best and learn to use them to read market direction to 'follow the path of least resistance' and make good trades.

In practice Hubert specifically uses the bricks to help determine market reversals. From my experience he rarely uses the bricks in isolation, but instead uses them along with other TTM indicators plus charts (put/call ratio, TICK, TRIN, program buys/sells) to help decide when to pull the trigger.

You could do a lot worse than subscribe to their free videos which are usually very enlightening and often contain video capture of live trading from the Trading Room, their site is here http://www.tradethemarkets.com.

There's also a video list which I'll paste below which gives you a good idea of what they're all about:
