SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) — BHP Billiton Ltd. is in talks to buy Australian oil and gas producer Woodside Petroleum Ltd. for $48.5 billion amid surging commodity prices, in what would be Australia’s largest-ever takeover deal, according to published reports on Sunday.

BHP is australian. Woodside (apparently) is australian.

cant argue w/ 50 yards of aussie, and I assume BHP revs are all in USDs, but is it all cash? surely not, must be equity in there somewhere.

Didn't BHP try to buy Rio in recent yrs??

Good news, will keep a close eye on this, i thought it had topped out but this could keep it increasing...
