You do not need a specialized computer.
Repeat that ... so that you don't waste money.
A surprising number of people buy Dells. I make my own starting with a good quiet Case (antec say), a big quiet power supply (650W), and a modern motherboard (high end gigabyte, intel, asus). Add dual or quad core processors 1 or 2 back from the highest end so that you get a sweet price point and then good sized hard drives and 4G or more of high speed (say 1066 in 2 matched sticks) RAM.
The biggest issue is that you probably want 2+ screens.
Any Nvidia card will support 2 I think but you want to be able to add multiple cards from the same family. Nvidia fanless cards are often a good choice as you don't need ultimate graphics speeds unless you are a game player as well. If you buy a dell just check that you can expand graphics cards as far as you want.

it really depends on the level that you're trading at. If you're new to trading and learning then you are just fine with a standard computer with an extra monitor. As your trading develops etc then more powerful hardware becomes more important. For example i have 6 monitors on a computer built by a company that specializes in computers for trading (Multiple Display Systems). Like i say tho, unless you're a professional trader or trading for yourself full time, a standard computer will be more than enough to learn on.

go to ur local computer shop tell em to build a minimum DDR3 system, will last long enough
