The ping time it takes from UK to Australia trading futures on the Australian Securities Exchange. Just wondering about scalping/spread trading these futures intraday during the UK night time.

I don't perceive any latency issues, but I suppose it will all depend on your broker etc...

Tested my latency - UK to Sydney = 0.328 secs.
At the very least the platform may seem a little sluggish.
Scalping - only way to be sure is to test it.
I wouldn't say its the best start though...
Then again, if there aren't as many RSJ type algos or none at all,
it may still be better anyway...
