Are all my spread bet profits tax free?

Here is the main issue, if you are trading on a spread betting platform, with the spread clearly defined, then it is exempt from tax. However if, like some companies, you are trading on a direct market access platform and the resulting trade, which is not a spread price, is then "manufactured" or turned into a spreadbet (Platforms like TT, Stellar etc) for the sole purpose of avoiding tax, then you are in trouble.
The key point is, spread betting is exempt if it is spread from start to finish, a direct market access trade, that is then turned into a spread bet post trade is not. HMRC are very clear on the difference, tax evasion and tax avoidance are not the same.
