Anyone using IG's MT4 ?

I like IG and have used them for years but I'm not sure about their MT4. Last time I tried them (in February) I was getting requote errors at the end of daily bars (ie not especially busy times), and consequently positions sometimes weren't getting opened or amended.

Anyone else here using them regularly ? I didn't really find anything in 'search' ...

I have used it but don't really trust it..tends to freeze in times of high volatility..

I would steer clear of IG - you do not need them for MT4. There are thousands of brokers offering MT4 who would be happy to take your business and I've found IG arrogant in my dealings with them.

I use MT4 on IG, I use it only for spreadbetting. I would go elsewhere for other types of trading.

I had to do a fair bit of programming around their rejections, the main reasons being no response or too frequent trading. I do not get many requote rejections.

It's important to note you can't put on an order/trade within 10 seconds of another. The MT4 connection seems to go dead every now and then also and takes up to a minute to reconnect. However now I've coded around this I manage to get nearly all of my orders through now.

rjay - I also like what I read about IG on-line. The fact that they are well established and a large size firm. So I've decided to try them out.
I installed IG's MT4 last week, so still new to it.
They do have a ten second delay between each order entry or amendments.

One thing I didn't understand was my P&L (614 + 569 -83 -100) = 750.51 Should it not be £1000.

Scratching my head on that one. Can anyone shed any light?

I'm also not seeing the roll-over charges.

OK - I had the P&L column showing in 'Term Currency' and not 'Deposit Currency' changing the setting fixed it.

My experience with IG has also turned sour. Don't know if it's only due to technical reasons or something else, but it's been damaging to some trades.
