anyone knows how can I find a trader job?

I'm doing research on systematic trading Independently since it's not my full-time role. I can only trade occasionally. So far I've made more than 60% unleveraged return in 18 month by trading equities. But I want to be a full-time trader.

My current job isn't the one I love to do. I just need it to keep me living. I've got a PhD degree in OR. But it seems that it's extremely hard to find a role to me.

Is there anyone has ideas how can I find a trader job in a Bank or Hedge job?

give them your account proof and ring around.
 
Post up a statement for your trading. Maybe someone will be impressed and hire you.

A PhD should get you a bank job with the americans quite easily. If you tried and have not succeeded, then it's probably to do with your interview technique or weak CV skills.

There is currently an employer looking for analists. You can practice your skills with him, perhaps ?

Well I am a simple joe. So, care to share with me the under-currents ? I always take people at face value and rarely get a bad deal out of it. So I am not very familiar or experienced with some of the more sophisticated stuff.

I know a lot of the British traders are cockneys and get their jobs through connections. This is why I suggested the american banks. Another source of these jobs would be with the small hedge funds dotted around green park in west london. Should be easy for a PhD to get in on one if he accepts low pay to start with.

At the interview tell the boss that YOU were one of the italians in the episode below. You will at least be hired as an English teacher to coach the foreigners

Thanks, everyone. I try to research trader jobs online but I even can't find any positions posted on recruitment websites except for those trading houses. But those trading house don't give the candidates any salary for the first 6 month. I'd interviewed with one couple of years ago. They even don't allowed their traders using own computers to find the trading signals. All their traders are just looking at the charts all the days, which is really silly to me.
 
Well I just googled "furtures trading vacancy" and even with the typo the first link was an online recruitment firm which had 408 trading job vacancies, the first job I saw was £40k pa.

Maybe you have a different version of google to me.

The fact that you are having problems with this basic search indicates that you're probably not the type of candidate they are looking for.

I don't google but search jobs on the websites such as efinancialcareers... I'm looking for descent real jobs, rather than the firms like FUTEX, London Academy of Trading, Amplify Trading... They aren't really hiring people. I don't have time to take their courses and I don't have money to pay them too.

If you compound it 5% a year, you will be a millionaire not too many years from now. Any job in the mean time should be fine, such a one in a local chip shop. If you are very confident of your trading, increase leverage by using spread betting or do forex. For instance the EUR is doing an almost straight line move at this specific moment that could treble your money in no time
 
A multilingual guy with an applied maths Phd comes on the boards to discuss his trading strategy involving complex regression models and looking for work and you advise him to work in a chippy and punt the euro with high leverage.

I f*cking love this place.
