AMC surge Friday 21 July 2023 What happened?

Hi guys
The AMC stock went up by over 60% after market closure that day. News media contributes the spike to a declined court claim to convert APE to common stocks. Can someone better explain to me, why that court decision resulted in an increase in buying of shares?
