hi all,

Alpari have a range of differing accounts from Micro, Classic, Pro, etc.

They also have an ECN account, where they say ECN account have "no dealing desk" as well as "EA friendly".

(As an aside, all accounts are "no dealing desk" except for Micro and Classic, which seems weird, as they it implies they have dealing desks for the smallest accounts and not the biggest.)

Anyway, does anyone use the ECN account facility, and are their prices reliable?
Ie, do their prices accurately reflect the underlying, and are they prone to requptes, etc?

ta.

Hello,
They are not an ECN if they are reflecting the underlying market.
with real ECN, they will get actual market price from direct banks.
I used trade with Alpari before, very bad.
I will not trust again friend.
Sorry but this is my experience.
I hope you find helpful

Hi, I have been using a demo account with Alpari and eventually planned on going live with a micro account. Would you mind elaborating a little on what makes them so bad, what was your experience with them??

Cheers

I agree.

They say ECN, but their price always appears to have a 0.5pip premium above the market price.

So they are just scamming people. Either that, or they lack one level of market depth, either way, not a good 'ECN'.
