All about China

Hello Fellow Traders,
I never see anything about China on these boards. Is their currency traded internationally? I looked around google and found that China's currency (maybe hong kong's) has been pegged to the US dollar for many years, but how long can that last?

1.3 billion people ......

I have to confess to complete ignorance on the subject of their economy, so I'm interested in anything you have to say about China.
