Hi guys,
new to t2w and ive got a bit of a dilemma. Im a recent graduate (2007) with a 2:2. I realised in my first year of uni that i was never going to make it into investment banking due to my poor a levels of BBD. Ive looked into the possibility of trading and have been searching over the past few months. Ive now got 2 routes which i can take.
1) ive been offered a place on schneiders 1 month traders scheme where they test you and if you pass then u get a place. I know its very intense, but seems a good option.
2) ive been offered an internship at Calyon as a trader's assistant. The internship is for 6 months main duties being PnL, helping with risk management, trade booking, credit price developments. Im pretty sure that if i do well enuff that ill be given a job after those 6 months.
of the 2 Calyon are more reputable, larger, and the possibility of stepping into something different are greater, but thats only if i secure a job after the 6 months!
schneider, well most of u know about how they work anyway.
My question to you guys is that if u were in my situation which route would you take?
