Been trading for 3 and a half years, only one and a half of those years were profitable, the last 4 months were the biggest I've ever had. I doubled an account from $42K to $80K pre-swaps and commissions, swing trading 9 to 10 trades a month, all live and documented in my Discord group.
Many people do not get it, in trading there will be losing streaks, winning streaks and even down months, this is the reality of trading.
What got me profitable is simply managing my life in the best way possible, good sleep, eating healthy, hitting gym. Journaling every trade and only forward testing, winning more than I lose long-term. Controlling risk, risking based on setup and not fixed percentage risk per trade. There are many factors but stay consistent and journal your trades you'll get somewhere.
I have doubled many small accounts saved up some money then started it with 42k and doubled it within 3 months. This is a rare case, doubling an account takes around 6-8 months but I do think that I got lucky a little with this account.
It was a long journey, trading plays with your emotions, nerves and even leads to imposter syndrome.
Take care, and trade less.
