There is no "ideal" timeframe, IMO. It is really just a matter of how you see the market and your own personal strengths and weaknesses. For me, my sweet spot is in the 3 days to 3 weeks range but I don't stay there exclusively.

Overall, looks interesting. Since you have the analyst ratings, could you also get analysts estimates for next Q earnings? And if you can, what could make your site more unique would be if you show the individual estimates from each analyst and not just "the average".

Thanks for posting the link. It looks interesting, except you can not change the portfolio at all during the backtest period. But after all it is a "portfolio" visualizer and not a "strategy" visualizer.
