Getting into day trading from the UK

All I mean is even though some spreadbetting forms will give you large leverage of say up to 1:20, you don’t actually need to max out that leverage. Often I only trade with a very small proportion of that available margin. You have to understand leverage and margin though and be comfortable so...

Start prop trading firm or hedge funds

If you’ve been trading a while and have a system that works, you could look into joining a prop trading firm. If you’re good, and can manage risk and drawdown to their standards then it’s one way of gaining access to larger tradable capital. Worth researching well though before jumping in.

Getting into day trading from the UK

I’ve never really had a problem with IG. I like them and they have a huge range of tradable instruments including many US stocks. From my experience fees are pretty good. You can setup a spread betting account of UK based and benefit from tax free trading which is a really bonus. Whilst in...

Biggest Challenges You Experienced in Trading?

Great question! There are so many but I'd probably say: 1) In my early days - risk management - i.e. risking too much per trade and/or not having a standardised approach for risk 2) Dealing with a losing streak - you can have a system that works great for a while and then a run of losing trades...

I am new to Trading. Does Gold have better ROI than Forex?

It really depends on a number of things in particular your strategy/approach, time frame you're trading and number of forex pairs you're trading, etc. So impossible to say really. The only way to tell is to back-test and demo trade to get a view on relative ROI based on the strategies you're...
