Just to add...It would be interesting to see if anybody physically close to London are able to get better ping times and how many hops they are getting in their Traceroute results. Hope I haven't drawn any wrong conclusions in my above post, just looking for more info, and hoping someone techy...

So...First after closing all programs that require the net I made sure nothing apart from MetaTrader was running, went to the command prompt from the Start > Run menu and then typed in "netstat -n" without the quotes, and it showed Mt4's connection, its listed as "Established and shows an IP...

Ive made a few changes on my system and my Platform to make sure I dont have ANY slow execution from my side when placing an order that could increase what we call Latency... Ensured that my Firewall does not monitor ANY TCP or UDP packets from my Mt4 terminal or that there is no interferance...

Quite p*ssed off from the 1.5 spread of the EurUsd and 2.4 spread on EurJpy today instead of the normal 1.3 on EU and 2.0 for EJ, frankly its putting me off from placing extra trades throughout the day due to the higher spread. I will raise this issue and make a suggestion to SLM if they may...

Got my live account opened with SLM now, will be trading with real money, will let you guys know how their platform treats me. Will keep a very close eye for spikes on the EU and GU charts, if i notice them i'll try giving the info to their livechat and crosscheck my charts with another broker...

shorted at 1point-ish below the last low with my broker at 13 with stoploss set to 25.5, survived the move upwards right to the pip, came back down soon after with a profit of 12pips, moved to break even, got taken out, shame to see it only moved up by another 2 pips before coming back down...

Thanks i'll check up my charts for voda later on. I was referring to what was being said about voda on bloomsberg this morning if anybody was watching it this morning around the london open. Hope im not being confusing lol.

Anybody planning on shorting the ftse at 1point below the last low of today? Voda's share prices are the down by the lowest in 20 years apparantly, and other banks seem down.
