Hi tnav Can you explain your method of entry clearer please. Your chart clearly shows the range being broken to the upside, why wouldn't you have taken the long trade if this was a simple breakout method?

I Understood that the strategy you used was 1am candle open, 6am candle close prices to determine buy/ sell signals. Are you actually looking at the high/ low during this period? What were your buy/ sell levels?

I don't trade the breakout as Claudias rules, but follow this thread avidly. My 6am candle closed at 15933 (on MT4), and then moved lower on next candle, would this not have given you guys a short entry signal?

I think it's me that's getting confused........ I thought I had read that Claudia takes the range from the open of 1am candle, to close of 6am candle, and ignored any spikes. This gives me a range of 1.6310 - 1.6273. I take it that this is not correct, and that it is the highs/ lows of this...

Claudia, I'd be interested to know how you would have taken a long trade this morning, if price had gone in correct direction. Would you basically have watched the price rise a few pips from 7am open price, and then entered? I have your buy level at around 1.6310, so obviously it is clear now...

Sorry GumRai (and others....), I have caused this confusion. I trade the breakout slightly differently to most following the tread, and to Claudia. I should maybe stop posting my results and just watch.

I understand about the range thing, but surely no-one on this thread will be trading anything except a break of the range?
