Pulling data from an API of your choosing (C++)

If you're coding in all these languages then you're probably not very good. Jack of all trades kind of hack. The elegance is in the actual programs you are writing not the language itself silly.

Pulling data from an API of your choosing (C++)

C++ is a fine language with low-level access to the hardware in a convenient high level language. There are essentially only two types of API access you can have. Either events are done for you or the data is passed to you for you to create your own events.

Predicting future FX support and resistance levels using mathematics

Predicting future FX support and resistance levels using telepathy. This nonsense is no where near as complicated as what you're suggesting. Its all to do with supply and demand.

    scalping with IG

Indeed trading is alot more like gambling than anything. People will insist on telling you otherwise but a coin toss it pretty much is. Unless you can determine the odds in your favour by 100% (which you can't) it's a gamble. If you review the SB services you'll soon come to realise they're...

    scalping with IG

You can assign terms to things, such as Scalper etc, but they're actually quite meaningless as has been pointed out they mean slightly different things to different people. The Market Makers (eg, ugly word Spreadbetters) which have free trades such as on some of the FX markets actually promote...

Online broker for a small account?

Another cookie-cutter website from a broker, the same format that all the scammers use. Offer $100,000 in virtual funds, and fail to see the logic in that if users can't choose the specific amount that they want to work with. I suspect the amount is there to promote a gambler mentality in their...

Risk on Trade Value and Margin Used

This is a Trading 101 question. When you are risking a trade, what do you base the risk on: Is the risk on the Trade Value or on the Margin? Some products/markets are leveraged and thereby the margin requirements of trading there is a fraction of the actual Trade. Because of leverage offered...

    Broker recommendations for newbie

Looking for half decent broker? But the industry is so FOS that it puts people off and rightly so. Why bother with trading given all of the cronies left, right and centre?

    Traders - Warning !

Better to find an explanation rather than desperately jumping to conclusions. Could it be a technical glitch in their system? FF is simply a forum website, can't see how they have any vested interests. Actually the interests they do have is advertising or promoting big name brokers and...

building a trading computer useable upgrades....

Of--course if you're pulling all that data then your PC still needs to have the oomph to process that data. This aspect of the PC's performance is managed by the CPU. But also the Internet speed will determine how quickly you can get that data to your machine. From a trader perspective I for...

building a trading computer useable upgrades....

Running more screens is simply GPU intensive, not CPU intensive. With more screens you're typically asking the GPU to run at a higher resolution which means there is more video processing involved. A more powerful graphics card will be of greater benefit than adding more CPU cores to the...
