    Best Thread Euribor Flipper??

NLT, That is one reason I am not a big fan of FIFO. It encourages locking the market with big orders. Ultimately this helps the big guy. If an exchange thinks it can survive with only a few large market makers they are wrong.

    Working for the man/LIFFE exchange

Sounds like I should go back to trading Bonds vs. 10's and 5's. I have been using the autospreader effectively and it has helped. Overall, I think it still comes down to the high cost of trading. Competition is inevitable. Do you have any more rumors about fees coming down? I could use...

    Working for the man/LIFFE exchange

Please tell me the Eurodollar is better, that is the only thing keeping me from losing all hope. I don't know how anyone can scalp spreads in the front month Euribor without being a directional trader. They do trend really well but that is about all they do now. I used to like them for the...

    Working for the man/LIFFE exchange

GJ, Or they are hoarding the good markets! Like I said, I am going to give the Eurodollar a try. I have been waiting to see how it was going but I know from enough sources that Eurodollar is a good trade and costs beat LIFFE but enough.

    Working for the man/LIFFE exchange

GJ, I have no problem with criticism, you SOB. :cheesy: Seriously, you are right, I have to do something different. In my defense, I learned to trade when it was common to trade a large number of contracts without any higher mariginal cost for trading those contracts. I would love it if...

    Working for the man/LIFFE exchange

    Just did my P&L. Thought I had a good day trading. I did, 109 Euribor ticks. (109 * 12.5 Euros = 1362.5 Euros) Then it was time to figure out how much in fees I paid. Contracts trade = 2450 (Approx.) Exchange fee = .28p / 0.68 = .41e Clearing fee = 0.09e Total = 0.50 * 2450 = 1225e Net...

Fees for LIFFE, Merc, CBOT, Eurex

Advantage futures based in Chicago. You will have to talk to them about what their requirements are. I came to them from GNI. Advantage used to be [part of Mizuho Bank and they are a lot of the people from the firm Transmarket if you have any Chicago ties you might remember Ray Cahnman who...

    LIFFE extends Euribor trading hours

I screwed up again, it is being extended by three hours. Twalker, trust me, I will be cuddling with my beautiful wife long before the markets close. Ok. I might keep one eye on them.

Fees for LIFFE, Merc, CBOT, Eurex

Just got back from vacation in beautiful Saratov, Russia. I have been trading Euribor since Sept. 2000, I trade 15,000 to 25,000 roundttrips per month and I pay my clearing firm 20 cents (US) per round turn.

    Must trash trading book

This guy is an Ass. Pardon the language, he used to push a trading system on late night infomercials in the states. I love the fact he stole the Beatles spelling to push his book full of stolen ideas and worthless information. I just realized that the libel laws in the UK are a lot stiffer...
