If you guys really want to see a different slant on things try reading some of David Icke's books - they make most conspiracy theories seem like a child's game. I'm sceptical by nature but I really suspect that he is closer to the truth than most people would give him credit for.

Don't know whether this helps but I've been using the system for about the last 6 mths (as private student of author). Not a day trading system but a very effective trend following technique that captures the big moves in commodities and futures markets. Would thoroughly...
Isn't it funny how different people's experience of the same company differ so much? I run my own company and often get "feedback" from customers that reflects us at our best and worse! Very strange sometimes!
My experience with Fins has also been excellent - odd lock ups with software etc etc...
Benji,
If you're using the CT formula you might want to look at some of the comments on the Champion Trader thread on these boards.
Particularly those about stop loss and choppy markets. Also (and I only discovered this very recently) on the CT web site he proposes a slightly different stop...
I was surfing through some finance sites and came across this:
http://www.stock-anal.com
Took a couple of minutes to download, and a few minutes to set up for UK charts but seems to give a good overview of technical indicators for whatever stock/index your looking at.
Considering its all free...

Not sure we should explain the CTA formula "explicitly" on a public board - don't think that would be fair on author (probably illegal too!). It is slightly different to basic CT formula, however, working with shorter period moving average and trying to capture beginnings of trend...
Does anyone know where I can get end of day data (HLOC) for UK market. Free would be nice (!) but low cost also OK. Looking to import into Omega Supercharts.
Thanks
Blimey! And I thought I'd read the website inside out too! You're right of course - might have been useful if he'd put that piece of info in the book too! Takes away one of the big criticisms of the CT formula about wild stop losses.
Keep posting.

P.S. How long have you been trading for?
MMillar - thanks for the info. Look forward to receiving info of your "secrets" from your desert island paradise!
Little confused about your comment re S/L though. One of the first things I did was to change from what I thought CT was saying to a S/L about 30 - 50 pts (depending on market)...

My thoughts exactly! Would you be prepared to share some of the extra modifications you have made to the CT & CTA formulas in developing your own system?
Specifically, have you any any stategy for coping with the recent up/down market? How to you manage stop losses? How to you work...
Scientist & Floor Trader,
Good input guys but I think we sort of recognise what you say already. Maybe the CT formula isn't the Holy Grail ('cause it doesn't exist) but it could represent a reasonably sound starting point for at least "learning to trade properly".
I suspect you are both...
Using CT I've got a buy signal on Dax at 3386 (technically a day late on this). So lets see what happens!
edit - £1pp Dec Dax @ 3395, sl @ -200 (40 day sma).
edit - got out of this @ -30 when things looked like tanking badly.
OK guys - can you give me a good way of researching Nasdaq Level 2? Heard a lot of people talk positively about it. Where can I find out about it? All input gratefully received.
