I had no problems with ETX when I was using them, their charting package was the best around at the time, their executions were done in less than a second most times, and their spreads were equal to or, in some cases, better than those of their competitors, which is why I was sorry to leave...

Apparently it flags up on your software as an Electron card and your accounts can't handle that. I'm looking at it now and it definitely is a Visa Debit, no mention of Electron on it.

I would love to trade with ETX, I was doing so up until a couple of years ago, and I loved their trading platform, until I changed my Bank. Now they won't accept my Co-operative Bank Visa debit card for payments, I'm told I have to do a Bank transfer. This takes far too long, can be up to 4...

As everyone else is saying, spreads are far too wide. Why should I sign-up with Spreadex when my Capital and ETX accounts, for example, have much narrower spreads. It would be pointless!

Whilst I don't have the experience to argue in any depth I'd be interested as to your source of "at least 90% of SB "clients" lose". Where did this figure come from? I'm not trolling, but since you used the words "the great spreadbetting myth" I'd like to know why your 90% figure might not also...

I see quite a few posts from people stating this POV over a number of SB brokers and it still puzzles me. Surely SB brokers make their money on the spread, at least I have been told so by trading managers, so why would any of them want your account to be reduced to zero?

ETX are having another one of their free seminars, in London on 19 May. I've been to one of these and they're informative and interesting. Probably best for beginners like me, but if you're looking at various brokers for CFD, Spreadbetting or spot contracts it might pay to look into it and meet...
