    Pay off mortgage trading ?

Let me emphasise the often overlooked but blindingly obvious when you stop to think about it: You can only make a profit if someone else takes a loss. So, if you draw a normal distribution curve of those who trade the markets one way or another, most at the extreme low end of the curve either...

    Pay off mortgage trading ?

I've paid off my mortgage trading houses but that's not what you mean! What I have done with share trading is bought a small farm and equipped it. With recent rises in Amerisur Resources this spring I have bought tractor, harrow and flail mower. The next steps are new roof for the cottage and...

    New Version Ichimoku Charts

You mean this quote: "The idea is to flip between daily, weekly and monthly charts looking for cloud crosses. Personally, I favour weekly charts. They are less choppy and suit my time horizon better. You get the right balance of signals too. Not too many and not too few. Using the highlighter...

    Fcharts

"Fart" ??????? Snigger.......thank gawd you dont come from Scunthorpe , you'd wet yourself  Bigcharts are quite OK, at least they allow you to meddle with the parameters. I've not tried Qcharts. Am using Updata which is £3o per month and suits me fine. Also Medved Quotetracker which is...

Gruntnoway, I thought the thread had died! However, I have been making progress & if I get time, I'll post it up. Meanwhile, I'm on holiday myself next week so I may not post up until the week after. Regards N.

    New Version Ichimoku Charts

Gruntnoway, Interesting about the clouds & support/resistance. I see their changing shape as visualising a measure of the strength of support or resistance in that both can strengthen or weaken over time. So, if the cloud thickens, it increases and if it thins it decreases. Any comments? N.

    New Version Ichimoku Charts

I've been fiddling with the newer version and trying it out on some stocks. Not wanting to wait for Updata to post its usually brief explanation in the help file and not wanting to pay £100's to attend one of their courses which would gallop through the subject anyway, I've been matching it...

    New Version Ichimoku Charts

I have played with the Updata setup. There is the opportunity to change the variable for the turning line but it seems to copy through to all the others. Zambuck seems to be correct in that the lagging span appears to be a carbon copy of the price line, displaced backwards....this is handy if...

    New Version Ichimoku Charts

Zambuck, Some of the commentaries suggest that the 26 periods refer to the number of trading days in a pre-war Japanese month. They suggest variously that this might need to be modified to take into account the trading days of the stock you are interested in or, the total traded time if it is a...

    New Version Ichimoku Charts

Gruntnoway, I was wondering about timescales too. Clearly, scaling the timescales down doesn't disturb the relative relationship between the leading and the following trends....so it ought to still work ;o) I'm a very visual person when looking at charts & am finding the cloud formations are...
