Still learning the ropes and pitfalls with spread betting as I only moved on to it from plain old share trading a couple of months ago. This is one point which has cost me quit a bit already so thanks for the advice. We looking at a close at around 10370 or lower or another bounce off about 10390?

Trading "Daily cash" spread bet on Finspreads on their quote. There's a 4 point spread, so that would mean a mid-point of 10392 would trigger a 10390 sell. Sometimes seems to me that Finspreads differ a little from the market value, but I'm not certain of this.

Turns out so by accident, didn't believe my own PR though :-) Didn't really break through 10430 with stregth as you had said would be a signal. Had a short order triggered at 10390 which is currently sitting near my stop loss at 10420. Is it just me or are there more than one significant...

I didn't, that's why I asked the question. Sorry if I'm being a thicky :). I'm working on EOD data so thought it might mean reversing on that. Another shift down in the offing then? What is the signal for that if you don't mind my asking?

Time to go long? Made a few points from some pretty risky longs and shorts in this chop but it doesn't feel comfortable.

Another choppy day kicking those stop losses off again. As a matter of interest, does anybody have an opinion on whether this chop is likely to be caused by market makers oscillating the market? Is it possible that the market could be oscillated by 20-30 points? Guess it depends on volume...

Looks pretty nervous to me. That shift triggered a sell order that I had open at 10495 to catch us on the way down below the support at 10500, and looks like it's bounced now. Hmmmm. Anybody think we're going to head down and test the support again? Perhaps improve on yeterdays shorts?

So what's the consensus on those deficit figures? Where is Mr Greenspan going to send us today, soaring towards 10800 or diving below 10500? Seems to me like this market has been pretty jumpy this week and ripe for that long mooted correction. Am hung out a little on a silly overnight short...
