Yeah I agree insofar as you need to be in the sense of the trend to be able to make profits, and at the same time I believe, and that worked for myself, that as algorithmic traders, we should take advantage of the possibility to build more of a real algorithm rather than a human trading strategy...

Margin you mean? Well you can see that it went quite smooth in the dradown,, didn't even reach 3% that day. About the margin itself, as I have a leverage of 1:500, it must have taken around $150 blocked margin and the rest in free margin, so around $850

Definitely support point #2, with a backtested strategy and the assurance that it works and by sticking to it it will bring profits, trading becomes easier. I believe a lot of traders don't manage to stick to their strategy because they don't believe enough in it

I totally agree with you, as it is made of probabilities, someone who's over exposing himself, and so has a bad risk management will blow up his account sooner or later!! Great sharing with you :)

It's also because anyone can become part of this trillion dollar market super easily that it makes it very dangerous for anyone not aware of the risks. It's crazy when we think that in just 10 minutes we can literally start trading, however there is no surprise than most of the "traders" lose...

I trade indexes on a daily basis, I focus on day trading and I have winning and losing streaks. It really depends, some periods bring more than others :) Maybe if you focus on longer timeframes the market might bring you less nowadays, but as I focus on short term ones, it doesn't really change...
