Only read what interests me, mostly global news for perspective and sometimes dramatic events. I don't trade on news at all but just observe how prices react to them. Like the recent JPMorgan 2bill loss coincided with Citibank stock going down? Speculating the reasons is fun.

I feel your pain. But I still love America (& California). Hope you'll find a better place to relocate to! Or maybe take some trips to the other countries to see what kind of place suits you the most.

What keeps you trading through the ups and down's? And how are you guys able to focus on the other activities like work? I'm a uni student and I'm losing interest in school work because of trading =/

Hellooo, Lisa here. Nice meeting you all. Undergrad uni student from the Bay Area (99.9% Asian community...). Trades liquid and active equities and commodity ETF's using area patterns, market price "phenomenons"..and conservative with risk. 2 years learning, 5 months paper trading, 1 week...

Invest with a strategy. If you're so afraid of a depression then get out when there's high volatility, then go back in when volatility drops?
