You also skew the R:R by trailing the stops. Yes you will lose less on average but gain less also. If you move stops after 10 pips of profit on cable you will be whipsawed out of almost every trade.

It sounds like people are thinking of scalping as high-frequency trading, i.e. in and out of a trade in a couple of seconds or less. I doubt there's many retail traders using algorithms to analyse tick charts. I think most people take scalping to mean any short term trade under a few minutes...

It looks fine to me, we are in an overall down trend and just broken out of a channel... don't want to jinx it however.

The MA was travelling downwards and was only just beginning to level off... the trend was pretty clear from my point of view with some consolidation during the Asian session.
