I tried trading crude oil too but have failed to make profit. What do you suggest is better, following trend or spotting suport&resistance ?

I have the same problem, but leting winners run is harder than you think. If I try to let the profits run I always end up with even more losses. The problem is you need a strong trend for this.

I considered using interactive brokers a while ago, but heard that from europe the signing process tends to be complicated and timeconsuming. But I would be glad to use it because of the low prices and positive references.

For longer time now, I'm constantly try to develop a profitable autotrading strategy in ninjascript. I have used price action, volume and even multi instrument aproach (euro FX, Nymex crude). I tried 10 second and 1 minute charts. All back testing was unsatisfying.

Because of the human naiture, the reproducibility of any manual trading system is very low. On the other hand automatic systems have excelent reproducibility.

Well, I did not tried out this one, but most times they don't work at all.

It's possible that at least in short term the waves are only a random variation. Otherwise you could use them for you advantage or no?
