    T2W 2003 Christmas Party

Sounds great: I've got a company do on the 11th -- so bouncing on to the 12th and crashing all the way through to 24th sounds like a plan and a half ...

    Man Group

Interesting. Man's now got $30bn assets under management and the funds continue to perform well. As have said before; can't see technical signals, just seems like a well run company and a good long term "buy and hold" bet - opinion, etc.

    Man Group

Latest funds launched raised over US$740m which shows good sales performance, etc.

    Man Group

I'd buy and hold for the next two years. No real technical short term reason ... just, seem's like a well-run company to me ;o)

    Reality Strike

Since when: 1. Company PNL. 2. Share price. 3. Analysts expectations. have *ever* converge to some common agreement? Has anyone devised a trading strategy based on a reversion of analysts consensus? E.g. buy when consensus is to sell and vica versa? Just an idea, having seen so many reports...

    an extremaly undervalued situation

Tanked about 36% since original post, eh? Though, check out the flat-lining since 2001 ... nice! http://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/quickchart/quickchart.asp?symb=icon&sid=0&o_symb=icon&freq=2&time=12

    Our new investment advice!

Errm ... revising the "model" somewhat... £107.00 at 5p per bottle implies 2140 bottles of stella for £1000, or 46.73p per stella. If you had bought £1,000.00 worth of Stella one year ago, sold it to the dodgy folks at my late night "off license" at their asking price of £2 per bottle you...

    Our new investment advice!

Just got this e-mail ;) "If you had bought £1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth £49.00. With Enron, you would have £16.50 of the original £1,000.00. With Worldcom, you would have less than £5.00 left. If you had bought £1,000.00 worth of Stella one year ago...

The DOW this week 15/07 19/07

Yonks ago (in the days when JDSU was a $60 stock) I ran a regression over "bounce" noting that, generally, if an asset (or index) falls sharply then the bounce generally retraces about half of the losses. Actually, it comes closer to "golden ratio" -- anyway, assuming the 436 point loss in DOW...

The DOW this week 15/07 19/07

Amazing! Lazer guided accuracy or what!? 62% retracement and last night the DOW goes out at 8,473.11 (-166.08). Gut feeling (what's it worth)-- wouldn't be too surprise if there's a bounce back and profit take by Friday. No advice intended; last time I had gut feelings involved a dodgy share...
