    Boiler Room Scams

Ref my post earlier today. roystonparker.com states copyright 1997-2013 at the bottom of the page. Strange that the domain name was registered 29/11/2012 in Panama. Not very reassuring !! Possible boiler room scam.

    Boiler Room Scams

Another one recently called me folks. GCM Worldwide in New York (oh yeah !) Someone called Andrea Cortez tried to persuade me that gold was very difficult to buy and bits of paper from her (no doubt with gold printed on them somewhere) would be much easier and more prifitable. Give me strength !

    Boiler Room Scams

Hello everyone. Working on the basis that every cold call is a scam, the latest "name" to pester me is Northern Pegasus. Watch your wallets !

dexterbaxter. Please bear in mind, when pboyles offers his advice to you he has nothing to gain apart from the satisfaction of knowing he has tried to help somone who is at risk. In my book, that fact alone should make his opinion pretty compelling. It's your choice who you believe but it could...

Hello again everyone. Another unsolicited approach. Swiss Money Report.net Recommends Skorpion Entertainment (SixStar Films AG). Blah blah blah. If it's such a sure bet why let me in on the "secret" ! Scam ??

    Boiler Room Scams

I'm not sure that being one of 38,000 makes me feel quite as lucky as Marshall Browning tried to suggest when they told me about their personal attention to clients !

    Boiler Room Scams

My conversation with a very pleasant lady at the FSA is one I won't forget in a hurry. After answering an astonishingly long list of questions and giving her Marshall Brownings web address (4 times !) she attempted to get their site up on her screen. After trying several times without success...

    Boiler Room Scams

Marshall Browning was one of mine. Spoke to FSA at the time. If the name's only just appeared on the warning list they're not exactly quick off the mark. Guess they have to do their research properly. That's why I prefer to post here as well.

    Boiler Room Scams

Thanks for the reply squawky. It's always nice to know that my posts at least get noticed. In a perfect world they'd crop up on the first line when some innocent daftie googled the company name !

    Boiler Room Scams

Yes Kenmar, it was H2O Technologies. I always try to post names of cold callers to me on here in the hope that it'll encourage those "at risk" to come to their senses. Offering a minnow like me the deal of a lifetime fails to flatter ! Thanks for the reply

    Boiler Room Scams

Hello anyone who cares to read. Recently cold called by a firm called Marshall Browning. You'll see I'm an infrequent poster but this type of approach always makes me suspicious. For all I know they may be genuine. (doubt it!). BE CAREFUL OUT THERE !!!!

    Suspicious cold calls

You're absolutely right, but googleing a name and finding a note of caution may help a few poor souls out there. Just trying to do my bit for the community.

    Suspicious cold calls

Yes I know this may be repeating things (boiler room scam thread) but in an effort at simplification for the benefit of anyone at risk how about simply posting the names of cold callers that "smell". I'm plagued with these and I'm sure I'm not alone. To start the ball rolling- Parker Forrester...
