Hi, I'm new to this trading game. Can anyone suggest any formula that I should try and follow to make me some cash. I know I'm being nieve, so please no arsey responses, just fire away with any intra-day trading techniques that have worked for you in the past.....any help greatly appreciated!

Looking at that thread it seems more concerned with very short term, intra-day trades. Whereas I'm looking for something I can put my money in and leave it there for a few months to a year, during which time it will hopefully have gone up!!! + the lingo in that thread is a bit advanced

Are there any reasons for why simply buying/selling a spreadbet on good/bad company announcements would not work?? I have been successfulish on the demo accounts by simply watching the regulatory and FX news headlines and buying/selling accordingly. Are there any reasons why this would not...
