i think i understood but it's really random it's like gambling sometimes the Cot data provide a long direction and in fact the chart is going short ... so do you know which time frame or which column i should take in consideration to trade with the Cot , thank you

I don't understand , on this COT data : http://cftc.gov/dea/futures/financial_lf.htm you can read that profesional traders are going short on Dow Jones on July 30 but when i look at the DJ chart the trend was going long the entire week ?
