can anyone tell me how the transaction cost for NYBOT UDSX works?

Most of the transaction costs is your broker's commission. There are also exchange fees, but by comparisson they are a relatively minor expense.

I see. Say if you can trade directly through the exchange, what is the figure?
I am developing an automated trading system aiming to generate buy/sell signals. thanks in advance

You need a "seat" on the exchange to trade directly. That can come with a hefty price tag. I don't know what the fees are at that point. The exchange web site probably has that info.

NFA = 0.02 per side.
