I think grad entrance to S&T with IBs is much more competitive than market making or wealth management firms though. Perhaps I'm wrong.

Yeah, but my point is that it's more comparable. Wealth management and trading are completely separate skill sets - if a potential employer knew you wanted one or the other, they'd think you either lack focus, or don't really know what the jobs entail (except wearing a suit and making lots of money, obviously).

Yes you're right... however, Sales and Trading is miles apart from Wealth Management.

You often hear people saying that they are looking for an "Investment Banking Trading" role... doh!
