Ummm poker is as much a gambling as trading is.

& Personally i found playing poker massively improved my ability to monitor and control my emotions & discpline in the face of financial losses - Giving me the ability to have a good decision making process whereby all decisions are based on evidence & probabilities.

Probably the most useful trading thing I have ever done is take up poker.

I'm not actually all that good - in fact after quite a struggle I am just a wee bit better than break even - although I did come 2nd yesterday in a tourney after having passed out in a xanax induced semi-coma 15 minutes before the conclusion of the match...

I'm down playing poker but that's because we play winner takes pot rather than a pot split. If it was a split, I'd be just above breakeven probably. I do play with some duffers though. I'm quite looking forward to this.
