I think the Roswell incident was a thirst for sensationalism by the press and a gullible public. Aliens ?? nonsense.
Pat
On one side it is the military who suddenly changed their mind about what it was and on the other size hundreds of witnesses of which dozens have come forward including deathbed confessions (what does a guy dying have to gain from lying?). Who do you believe, dozens of people on the same page who were there or an organisation who is known to lie and even warned about by president Eisenhower
"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists, and will persist."
The mountain of testimony from pilots, lawyers, doctors, air traffic controllers, police, senior government officials, astronauts, scientists. There are literally tens of thousands of people globally witnessing craft performing manoeuvrers that no conventional craft could. There are recorded radar screens showing craft travelling well beyond any capabilities of even our most advanced craft (12,00 per hour instantly stopping, then shooting off in another direction).
The phoenix lights were witnessed by upwards of 20000 people. many describing a craft so large it blacked out the stars behind it and produced no noise.
There are so many cases but lets for a moment look back before roswell, before aliens were even a thing.
1440 BC - Tulli Papyrus, the scribes of the pharaoh Thutmose III reported that "fiery disks" were encountered floating over the skies.
74 BC - a Roman army recorded seeing a silvery object in the sky
1566-08-07 - About the time of Michael the Brave's attack on Târgoviște which was occupied by the Ottoman Army there were reports of a bizarre "comet" that appeared in the city, staying pinned on the sky and shining over the Wallachian camp. Reportedly, it stayed there for about two hours before vanishing.
1896–1897 - Numerous reports of UFO sightings, attempted abductions that took place around the United States in a 2-year period.
1897-04-17 - A tale of a UFO crash and a burial of its alien pilot in the local cemetery was sent to newspapers in Dallas and Fort Worth in April 1897 by local correspondent S.E. Hayden.
1909 - Strange moving lights and some solid bodies in the sky were seen around Otago and elsewhere in New Zealand, and were reported to newspapers.
1940s - Small metallic spheres and colorful balls of light repeatedly spotted and occasionally photographed worldwide by bomber crews during World War II.
Come on Pat, a little research into the subject and the sheer volume of evidence and reputable witnesses leaves a lot to be questioned. There are about 200 billion stars in our galaxy and billions of galaxies, is it so hard to contemplate that it is mathematically improbable we are not the only intelligent life out there.
I am not disputing there is a lot of garbage and disinformation out there but there are nuggets that pose very interesting questions.
Have a watch when you have time (an ex Lockhead martin scientist - he unfortunately died). This is the same guy who in another video describes experiments he did on gravity including 2 rocks he dropped from a roof, one with powerful magnets in and the other not. The rock with the magnets in dropped slower than the other rock and this goes against the laws of gravity as we know it.
watch second one first
