Sold XOM @ 106.13 * But I'm actually pretty ticked off about that! That was my *reduced* limit order price placed the night before and XOM opened this morning at 106.26. WTH! This high volume stock just zoomed right past my round lot order. The question now is, was it the exchange operator or my zero-commission broker (DISNAT) that dinged me on this??? I just thank God, it was only a difference of 13 cents per share though... Anyone else have that problem today?
+6.48% (after exchange rates factored in), held for 16 days = 319% annualized gain

Bought some more VNDA @ 5.56 (to top up the position size)

Made a system refinement again (my very last one - as I keep telling myself this). I never was concerned about a poor quarterly report before, just as long as it was still an improvement of net worth over the prior year's report (and the year before that) - however, I now believe that even one poor quarter is, generally, too much headwind to overcome for my short-term holding strategy. So I'm in a portfolio "clean-up" mode today...

Sold AEM @ 48.81 (overdue exit for poor quality earnings report)
-3.71% loss (including exchg rates), held for 8 days = -82% annualized loss

Sold NJR @ 44.08 (exit for poor quality earnings report this morning)
-3.39% loss (including exchg rates), held for 13 days = -62% annualized loss

Sold NEP @ 51.43 (looong overdue exit for multiple poor quality earnings reports)
-20.69% loss (including exchg rates and 2 dividends), held for 158 days = -41% annualized loss

I'm not happy with UVV's earnings report either - will be exiting that one as well (shame that I didn't refine my strategy until yesterday afternoon - had I done that in the morning, I'd be out of this one already)

Bought BTG @ 3.24 (position top up)

Portfolio = 79% stocks, 21% cash
Portfolio Avg. Annual Gain (XIRR) = 31.17%

UGH! Portfolio finally cleaned up from recent strategy refinement. Just couldn't stand it anymore with that damn UVV position and dumped it today. For 4 days straight I've been trying to sell that P.O.S. on the slightest of rebounds and 4 days straight it just circled the bowl instead! The old adage, "Never let your profit turn in to a loss" just kept ringing in my head all day today. Emotions got the better of me on this one.

Sold UVV @ 48.16
+0.22% (after currency adjustments), held for 16 days = 5% annualized gain.

Bought some BTG @ 3.13 (position top up)

Sold some more YGR.to (the last item of business I'm working on clearing from my books) and bought some SSRM.to with those proceeds to journal over with.

Portfolio = 75% stocks, 25% cash

Bought C @ 44.46 today and have been working some more on converting my YGR.to shares to USDs (via some Journal trades)

Partially sold some BTG @ 3.07 (to top up USDs for future buy orders)
-8.68% loss (including exchg rate adj), held for 21 days = -79% annualized loss

Crappy Earnings Report for NPI.to last night - looking to sell that one now (ER wasn't majorly bad, so market order dump shouldn't be necessary here).

Continuing to offload YGR.to and set up some journal trades.

I re-screen the market to get some new additions to my watchlists 4 times per year (after every earnings season). I mostly finished that this weekend and added quite a few more names to my lists now. As a result of that, my pending buy orders for the market open have changed.

Buy orders have now been set for TXG.to and LC
(my top picks at the moment, so it's pretty likely those orders will be filled right away on or near the open)

Bought TXG.to @ 15.36
Bought LC @ 6.89

Portfolio = 82% stocks, 18% cash
Portfolio Avg. Annual Gain (XIRR) = 29.92%

Buy orders now set for VGCX.to and HASI

Bought HASI @ 20.44

Partially sold some C @ 41.56 (to top up USD cash reserves)
-5.58% loss (incl exchg rates), held for 17 days = -71% annualized loss

Partially sold some BTG @ 3.09 (to top up USD cash reserves)
-6.78% loss (incl exchg rates and averaging down), held for 37 days = -50% annualized loss

Also, I've been doing a ton of YGR.to sales and journaling the proceeds over to the USD account - pretty much every day. In frustratingly small increments though since I find journalling to be such a high risk endeavor. I expect to be completely free of that stock by the end of Sept.

Was away from the markets all day today - shopping. Torture.

Rough day in the markets as well though...

At least I had one silver lining today!
Sell order got filled for HASI @ 24.94 (been a long while now since a trade has gone to plan like this one has - hopefully the others can turn themselves around somewhat before too long)
+22.88 % (incl. exchg. rates effect), held for 7 days = approx. 4,600,000 % annualized gain. NICE!

Changed my mind about the speed of my YGR.to liquidation. Gonna slow that down some from here on out. It's trimmed down to a reasonable size now anyway (in relation to my other positions, that is).
