Spread betting and pips

Not sure whether to go with a broker or SB company. Just realised that SB companies dont use all the digits. For EUR/USD Etrade uses 4 decimal places instead of 5 for a broker. Is it better to go with a broker?

4 digits would mean larger spreads vs. 5 digits. No?
