Been a bit boring - market headed down to 1455 (YH) but bounced before it got there. I didn't take it then but on the next time there, there was enough bids holding to give it a shot.

It's almost violating my 'only play levels in September' - but failure to hit a level complies - I could have taken 1458 about 4 times for a scalp but held off, so pats on the back for that.

scratched the last part of the last trade - even came back later (2:30pm EST) to see if I could find some action - 7 point range! Marvellous

Out of half my short at 47s (ie 1% move vs .5% stop) running the rest till 20 but now my stop's been moved down to 56.5 so should book a fairly decent profit. Bit hairy going short at the highs but seems to be working, just a bit p1ssed off I didn't do it in more size, was contemplating 500 lots but lumped for 200 instead......grrrrrrrrr!

Goodluck tmr!

Risking doing the pre-market analysis a little early today.

Market is still ranging but range is quite small. Will continue to look for shorts above/longs below value (1450.15-1459.25) until the market breaks out convincingly.

Mechanical Levels
YH – 1454.50, YL – 1444.75, YC 1451.50 (will add ONH/ONL later)

Shorts – 1468, 1462.25, 1457.25, ONH, 1454.50
Longs ONL, 1449, 1444.75, 1443,50, 1442.50, 1433.25

Todays trading drug will be Panadol - which may of course mean no trading at all.

lol re "Todays trading drug will be Panadol - which may of course mean no trading at all.".....hope the headaches alright!

Stopped on the rest at 56.5, still not particularly bothered. Only going to look to get long at an appropriate point. Still feel it should sell-off in the interim but LT (ie 6-12 months) should be long especially once the actual effects of QE kick in........assuming we don't fall off the fiscal cliff!!! :)

10:00 – New Home Sales

9-26-20128-10-46AM.png

Probably going to be a quiet first 30 mins with new home sales.

We broke out the bottom of the narrow range we have in, so we have a potential continuation to look out for or reverting back into the range. To the downside, looking at 1414.50 as a potential target.

First test will be to see if we can stay above yesterdays’ low once we open. Of interest is that even though we had a move down… most of the volume yesterday was above 1450/

Mechanical levels – 1435 (YL), 1457(YH), 1439 (ONH), 1436.75 (YC)
Shorts – 1457.00, 1453, 1450.75, 1446.50, 1444, 1439.75 (ONH)
Longs – 1435 (YL), 1420, 1414.50. ONL

Still on the Panadol today. No pressure to trade but I’ve been sitting around with this flu watching Dirty Harry movies all day and for some reason I feel lucky.

Hi all,

Been a while, hope you are all well. I've not been trading recently, except the odd position on gold. Got day off tomorrow so will be around and may dip my toe back in.

Hope you all saw Super Leeds beat Everton the other night too :)

All up & running again - had some engineers in yesterday trying to get this bloody going...

They had to come back again today but now I have my office back in one piece.

It's a Cisco load balancing router. Ended up having to throw my ADSL modem away as it wasn't compatible with the Cisco router. I've had a backup internet connection for a while now but been switching manually when one had trouble. This way I can use 2 at the same time & if one goes down (too regular in Thailand), the other will take over.
