I have a question, I have placed a trade on USD/CAD (on demo account on TWS). And I lost 100 CAD and my account statement showed something like this
Currency Cash
CAD -100
USD 9000
If I righted click and chose "Close currency position" so I can convert CAD into USD. This means I have to buy 100 CAD with USD right? Yeph, so I bought 100 CAD using 90 USD and now my CAD position became zero. But another problem begins. That is I now have -90 USD position. And when I chose to close that USD position. There I had CAD -100 appeared again (because I had to sell CAD 100 to close USD position) and this could go on and on. Gosh, this is anoying and unclear.
I have just one simple question, How can I convert all the cash positions in non-USD into USD without the problems above?
I am sure this is a noobish question many of u may faced before, but please help me
