Poetry for Traders...

It's coming up to half past one
And (I think) some US data.
She better shoot up to the sun
Or I'll be a cable hater.

The market has analogies
A woman; war; the sea
Best to keep in mind though
It's just people like you and me

It's coming up to half past one
And (I think) some US data.
She better shoot up to the sun
Or I'll be a cable hater.

I'm starting to feel your Cable-pain
I took a short this morning
From up 50 ticks to out at break-even
That should have been a warning

I bit the bullet
Entered again
Started ranging
Yet more pain

Oh my God - I have failed!
I've only just been topped and tailed.
Deal with it - come on son,
Move onto another one.

There is a trading word I hate
It comes from the verb to indicate.
Why can't people just trade price,
Or even better, roll a dice?

News came out
I had sharpened the axe
Usually story
Anti-climax

Here we are, 2 minutes after
And all I hear is the sound of laughter.
Price has stalled, the market's cleft.
So traders' jokes are all that's left.

Wow... well done!... sub-2 minutes for that beauty...

I'm trying to beat
KJ's poetry
Gaining speed
But losing quality

If I were on the level,
I think cable is a devil.
To trade her on a Friday
It isn't really my day.

(Doesn't 100% apply to me but...)

Is it skill or is luck?
I really don't give a flying ****.
The one true thing that makes me snigger,
Is watching my account grow bigger.

The market's going down
I'm eyeing up a fade
Looks like it has tanked enough
Finger; trigger; trade

It continues going down
Digging with a spade
I think I'll average in a bit
Finger; trigger; trade

The steady fall continues
The turn-around delayed
Surely must be done by now
Finger; trigger; trade

I can't believe this move
My options I have weighed
Best to average in again
Finger; trigger; trade

The market just won't stop
I want to scream and shout
That's it I've had enough
I'm out; I'm out; I'm out

The moment I make my I exit
It fiercely heads north-bound
So very, very frustrating
This instant turn-around

I've learnt from that lesson
My account is on the mend
One simple, simple rule
Never fade a trend

Whoopeedo – she finally broke!
And all the longs go up in smoke.
I hoped to clean up as she fell,
Doh - I pressed buy instead of sell.

Yuppie and friends I must tell
You it’s time I said farewell.
As this market is a bore,
And my ar5e is getting sore.

Sitting on this chair,
At the screens I stare,
Hoping price might shift
Either tank or maybe lift.

It’s been a long, long week,
And the profits that I seek,
Have been hard to come across
But at least I have no loss.

So on this happy note,
I will go and grab my coat.
And hot foot it to the pub,
For some beer and grub.

It's truly quite amazing
One hour into session
Already made three silly trades
What here is my lesson?
