Heard Nymex have signed an agreement with the Dubai government to open a trading floor for a Dubai Sour crude futures contract.

Wonder if this contract will also be traded on their floor in London?

Anyone heard anything further on rumours of a Russian crude future?

arb..ill talk to you more about these when we meet up next week...it looks good..

its amazing how these places tick along and yet no one really knows about them....they list a shed load of futures which you'd think you could arb against something similar over here

The Dubai trading is not likely to start for some time. Im living in Dubai and have been keeping an eye on the developments. DGCX goes live 22nd Nov. However, just gold contracts will be traded initially.

If the contracts on both sides are the same, even if they are traded on different exchanges but under a mutual offset system, there doesn't seem to be much scope for any deviation.

there will be by the very nature of human beings arbing opportunities..think abt the bund arb on the liffe?

Not familiar with that one. Do you mean within Liffe itself or between Liffe and Eurex?

yeah existed for abt 3 yrs until the eurex volumes finally overtook the bund in london
