Followed the system and it worked even though price made a higher high. It did make it rather unconvincingly though. Near the 5703.78 level I put a trailing SL and got stopped out not much later. Price bounced nicely off the 5703.78 level previously defined.

Shortest trade ever. Opened and closed in the same minute. However it is an error trade. I did not use the 5m chart to determine the entering position (as my system tells me to). If I did the retracement marked with the blue circle would not have been visible, it was waaaay to weak to count, and I could not have taken the trade.

So why did I use the 1m chart? Because things weren't very visible on the 5m chart, it looked a bit weird to me but that should not be an excuse to switch to the 1m chart of course. Stick to the system.

Edit: reviewing the situation on the 5m chart I would have entered at 16:50 and probably would have had a profit of around 17 points..... enough said :p damn...

Here is what the hypothetical trade would have looked like on the 5m chart:

1 min chart. Big move but did not meet my criteria to use the 5m chart just yet. Setup got triggered and I entered. Price went my way initially but then fluctuated but never went through my stop loss.

Then price started approaching the 5706.00 level so I had to put a trailing SL and that one got hit pretty soon. Small profit.

Price went a few points higher before plummeting, but you can't expect to get the most out of each movement with any system.

Big move so was looking on the 5 min chart. The retracement wasn't big, but it was noticable on the 5m chart so I took the trade. It perhaps is questionable, but there is a reason I switch to 5m charts with big moves like this.

Price initially went my way but then started fluctuating, never hitting my SL though. Eventually price rallied and went past the 5795.28 level after which a trailing SL has been put which stopped me out a bit later leaving a nice profit.

Big move so was looking on the 5 min chart. Technically I could have entered earlier around the 16:10 -16-15 mark but I missed that move. However later the setup got triggered again and even looked cleaner so I went in.

Price kept going up until it reached the 5712.00 level after which I put a trailing SL which got triggered like a minute after I had set it. This was a huuuge move and also a huuge profit. These kind of trades make up for a lot of losers. Not sure if the last few big winner are enough to compensate for my losing streak in the beginning but that's for my analysis to determine.

(I am also making progress on my tool to be able to backtest my system, once that is finished I could very rapidly add to my test data and see if this system is profitable over a large quantitiy of trades as well. Btw this tool is nothing fancy and I am aware something like that already exist, but I like to program and this way I can give it all the features I find handy and leave out the crap I don't need)
