LTG Goldrock and double standards

................This is a dirty and immoral industry, and surely allowing and even encouraging discussion of those issues and concerns must fall under t2w's remit.................

Absolutely, that's perhaps why many more critical posts remain compared to the number that are deleted.

Its a well made point, and possibly even true, but that position seams to be at odds with what Tim (and others) would wish to see.

Increasingly its being suggested that t2w is not an appropriate platform for the discussion of these types of issues.

Its even being suggested quite openly, and with increasing frequency that members who wish to bring these issues to the attention of the sites membership should consider doing so from their own websites.

That opinion would not have been openly aired even 6 months ago

It does if they are directing their clients to the services of the company or person they are sponsoring or offering discounts for the services. I'm not talking about a few banner ads but a direct 2-way relationship.

Peter

Funny you should mention that. I see ETX are offering free seminars and advanced courses run by a 'highly respected trader training company'. Do you think that participants of the free seminar may be encouraged to enrol on a pricey advanced course?

Any idea who this highly respected training company are?

Check out the T2W ad for the 'free' offer.

"Discover the power of Fibonacci retracement levels"

its beyond funny, but sounds better than "discover the power of arbitrarily drawn lines picked at random"

1. I certainly hope not. I believe T2W has an important role to play here in the interests of its members.

2. Only when it's been persisted with despite the difficulty it has put T2W in from time time.

well, you could Christen them HareLines and make a fortune :)

I'm sure many T2W members will have - or work for - businesses that have accounts with Barclays Bank or one of the other banks implicated in the latest banking scandal. By your logic - and that of pboyles & Co - they are complicit in the activities of said banks. I struggle to sympathise with this 'logic' and, my guess is, that most other T2W members will take the same view.
Tim.

Just when I thought I was out - YouTube

I can't resist the lulz.

Timsk, do you really believe this stuff? Do you really need to have it explained to you? The comparison is - clearly - not one that they are making, because it would be absurd to do so.

If you're going to set up straw men to knock down, at least put a hat and an old coat on them.

With quality like this, I don't know if I can trust myself to stay away. Who wants to see some gay porn?

Er, if you go back to the previous page you'll see it mentioned right there again. Here's the link.

The general sentiment is if you cant keep quiet about these scams then take it elsewhere, you're costing us money.

Its not a sentiment, its a blatant declaration shouted from the rooftops

6 months ago that would have been unimaginable. The writings been on the wall for a while, but even I'm shocked

An advertising billboard to draw suckers in, nothing more.
Give it another couple of years and even babypips will have more credibility...

Thats exactly the reason the very people wanted as content providers leave.
Arab
Gamma
BSD
Dash
Leopard
and so on, list is too long and I've probably forgotten a lot as well.
Its either ostrich syndrome or more likely that a shift in target demographics
is more lucrative...

If I'm not mistaken, 1 person in your list was banned for repeatedly soliciting clients via PM's.

Has anyone even considered the possibility that changes in the financial arena is the underpinning cause of the lack of content. I am referring to the clampdown of Internet usage, company policies, and compliance within FSA guidelines over the last 5 years. Professional traders are not allowed to engage outside their contractual obligations.

How many insitutional traders were members? gammajammer was only one I know of, no doubt there are more, but to have a significant impact on content?

If they can get away with manipulating liebor I wld have thought they wld be able to wangle access to trading forums, they're not exactly a big compliance risk. Internet access at 2 large investment banks I know of allow forum access, you could access SB sites, bookies et al (this is in 2009, not sure now).

Whilst it is hard to argue against the essence of this particular thread, I for one am very appreciative of T2W having hosted our attempts to highlight LTG's shortcomings.

I fully understand that T2W have had to make a difficult decision to remove the seven previous threads on the topic.

Accordingly, to hopefully avoid such future problems, a new forum/website has been established at http://www.ltggoldrockreview.net.

Whilst specifically setup to discuss LTG, it may be used as a sounding board for any and sundry such operatives.

Hopefully this will take the pressure off T2W, whilst retaining a "point of presence" for traders wishing to learn about LTG et al.

Thanks again.

Anything going through a proxy server is logged and all forms of communication is subject to compliance logging. That being said, I too am not sure how many institutional traders were accessing the site
