That is THE problem of having a stop.

I'm trying without a stop BUT am watching it closely. The possibles could get nasty if not careful.

I exit manually myself, but still keep a stop. I mean, what if you lose power/internet connection.

It's a practical consideration. I still make sure to make a manual exit because that just limits my downside rather than have it hit my stop every time.
 
Vix is below 15 - is it just me that feels particularly spooked by this? It seems quite unnatural.
 
I thought a VIX around 15-19 was the norm last year when I first got acquainted with it. :LOL:

Never seen it go below 15, though. That's a first. If you're anticipating a sharp move lower, best load up on those puts. They're extra-cheap right now.

Does it parallel the Dow or Dow's volume ?

It uses options for S&P rather than DJ but ultimately it reflects the view of volatility of the index. Low like this means people think there is little to no chance of there being a sell-off.

Corrections are rarely/never anticipated though.
