Is it possible for us to compete with the big guys?

Naturally. It does raise the interesting point that there are plenty of participants in the markets that are not interested in making money in that market. It is simply a tool to carry on their actual business.

Yeh but giving those orders to MMs to jiggle price and get required fills brings back the competitiveness innit.

Suppose FX is different with the whole ECN thing but you get what I'm saying... it's still no cake walk and it's as deep as deep gets in FX too. Those mamma jammin crosses can swallow a whole lotta moolah without so much as layin down some friday night funk at the worng end of jive town, baby. Ya dig?

I just don't understand the question. How a little, old, rusted sailboat can compete with big, modern oil tanker.

Why do we even have such questions, is a mystery for me...

Well apparently an oil tanker reversing at maximum needs 3km to come to a stop, and you can probably imagine how difficult it is for it to change course. For the sailboat it is comparatively easy.
