Sticky Introduce Yourself

Hi everybody,
I live and trade in Florida. My biggest problem is that the weather and water is so nice, that I can't stand it in my office too long and go the ocean instead of trading.

I use mainly Metastock and Abletrend on an open trading platform (Booktrader) from IB- Interactive Broker in a 1-minute and 2-minute mode to trade the S&P500 mini. There are tons of Metastock add-ons etc., but there is no one that has or uses Abletrend RT (Real Time) - the version circulating at this time quit working in 2009 and I have not found anyone who has or knows where to find it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Trading Downunder

Hi, I've been paper trading for a few months in preparation for online trading. I really like the Indices, so I'm going to target the S&P 500 Mini and the Local ASX SPI 200. I like the volatility and liquidity of the ES and the slower moving Australian index. I'm looking into finding a good broker for assistance when required( spoken with a few already) and also trying out various platforms, some I just don't like and others I really like. My plan is to trade direct into the maket and also trade CFD's on the index. I'm currently writing my plan, listing what I need to learn, noting my strengths and working out my approach. I will have short term goals/long term goals ( one of which will be to share my knowledge!) I already like how easy it feels to connect to others. I'm keen to try any software where you can track your progress in achieving goals and targets - any suggestions most welcome! John
