Hello everyone, I'm fairly new to trading...considering taking the IMC
Hey there EC,
Welcome  ...the IMC won't help you with trading at all
It is all theoretical, and if you are wanting a handle on fundamental analysis, then key ratios and the like are covered, as are different types of investments, and portfolio theory etc.
But is there really anything in it that's useful for trading....?? No
!
Just trying to save you from running up a dark alley. I did the IMC 7 years ago, when it was required for Private Banking, so it geared I'd say more to people that want to advise clients on Investments.....rather than actually Trade them.
If you want a trading education :smart: , check out the School of Pipsology over at babypips if you want to go the forex route (even if not....it's still very very good). Or grab yourself books like, New Market Wizards (Jack Schwager....hang on isn't he a WWE wrestling star ???), books by Mark Douglas & Alex Elder, ie Trading in the Zone & Come into my Trading Room respectively, I think. Also read, read, read. But you need to practice, on a paper account, as there's no substitute for practice, practice, practice. Log what you do, every trade and review it, and try and learn from the mistakes
. I'm about a year in, and if you flick two pages back, you'll see my intro, and all the $h!t (...I mean experiences :cheesy: ) I have been through.
Good Luck
