Index Breakouts

I was wondering if anyone has used this strategy before?

Working on a MidTerm breakouts of an Index. But then use the Leveraged ETFs for the trades.

Example...
SP500 longside breakout then buy the SSO -UltraSP500 ETF
SP500 shortside breakout then buy the SDS -UltrashortSP500 ETF

Any thoughts on this strategy?

never tried that etf, I do index futures. YM, ES, ER2, NQ, etc.
It's higher leverage.

True (I also scalp Minis -Automated) but I was thinking more for overnight holds.
