i intend to subscribe to an options newsletter and trade of with its tips or have it manage my account. and i've been highly recommended to try "couchpotatotrader' by Mike Parnos.

anyone has any opinions or suggestions as to which managed account or newsletter is good ?

I must admit to not having subscribed to this service, however maybe this is the one we are all looking for ? Could this be the goose that lays the golden egg ?

I'd lay a bet like that every day of the week

the guy who recommended it to me said he's been trading for 8 years now after following mike parnos and he's still following the newsletter sometimes and told me the record stated on the website is not fake - 36 winning months vs 3 losses.

Info

Isn't Mike Parnos that guy who spams the internet with ads about how he used to be homeless and now he has millions of dollars? Do you want to give your money to someone like that? Here's a free tip - don't pay people for options tips. It's an expensive, dangerous and ultimately disappointing road. Instead, save a few bucks and check out the leading free info sites:

www.oicoptions.com

www.theoptionsinsider.com

www.888options.com

www.cboe.com

Also, keep perusing the message boards both on this site and the above sites (I think The Options Insider is the only one on that list with a forum, but I could be wrong). And, above all, don't pay anyone for options info....

NM about that Mike Parnos guy. I mistook him for someone else. But my advice about paying for options info still stands. Be afraid...be very afraid....

Will it help you learn to trade ??
What happens if this "Couchpotatotrader" decides to not work anymore??
Why do you want someone to tell YOU what to trade?

Etc.etc.. Let me know how things turn out...

i guess it's the same as putting money with fund managers so if any of them stop or died :cheesy: , just got to find another better player !

if only everyone trading themselves can all make money but that's not the case since the whole thing is a giant casino - a negative sum game !

everyone is playing against each other with the brokers making the money ! :cheesy:

Info

There's a difference between paying someone to manage your funds and paying someone to give you trading tips. The person managing your funds provides services such as diversification, risk analysis, etc. They also free you up so that you don't have to spend all of your time managing your money. Those are things that are worth paying for. On the other hands, trading tips are of dubious value. At the end of the day, you have to ask this question - If the person selling these "tips" actually knew what they were talking about, would they have to sell tips?
