The Federal Reserve’s Monetary Policy Committee has decided to leave interest rates unchanged at 0.25% record low after their march’s meeting, in a unanimously decision of 10-0 votes. Fed will buy up to 300 billion in longer-term Treasurys in the next six months, it will increase the MBS program for another 750 billion and total value of this program would be up to 1.25 trillion Dollars.

Seriously, don't see any news for it, and it did take out my stop.

i don't trust spikes, up or down. Fed policy is not a good sign for the US Dollar. I still don't trust spikes.

Has anyone got insight into the next step for gold. I was short-term bearish up until today, when my order opened and subsequently got wiped out. Although there is a big spike overall there still looks like a consolidation pattern, and if it is considered that the right shoulder hasn't finished forming then a head a shoulders pattern could still be created?

i think we are stuck in a nice channel until further notice. with disturbing news like today's US Govt debt investment by the Fed, a right shoulder may not be in the cards.

ryt now major resistances from here(952) are 968-975-992 . support 944 is holding very nicely. a break of 942 should be a little negative.. n the correction tht is due should take prices till 906 $. but 992 is at present is a more likely tgts... its all about buying on dip. its just tht ,the dip mentioned myt be as low as 906
