Hi, I am interested in doing some FX option trades. I am aware that IG Index offers FX options with daily, weekly and monthly expiration dates - the spreads on these do not look too impressive. Can anyone point out other firms in the market that offer daily and weekly FX options. I did a quick search on Google but only came up with CitiIndex, who I presume would have similar spreads to IG.

I also came across the CME site, where many options are detailed, though only with monthly expiration dates.

Many thanks in advance,
George

here is a link to the FX options brochure from the CME.

Weekly options are new instruments that the CME has just rolled out with and they do have them for FX options. They do not have them for the pairs yet.

The CME Group is constantly updating their products so this may change in the near future.

This is a link to open interest and volume from the CME Group. It's updated everyday. You can use this to see which FX Options offer the greatest liquidity.

in IG index, city index or whatever any other bucket shop, the options offered are against them thus they can create daily, weekly options. FX Options traded in exchanges are only available in monthly till recently. However exchange options has minimum tick value of 12.5 euro (for euro/dollar) whereas in bucket shops, you can trade with much smaller tick values. Also exchange options have better bid/ask spreads
